Oh what a day. Josh woke up this morning and he seemed pretty good, so off I went to work. I called him about an hour later to check up on him and he said he had gotten the chills/shakes pretty bad. About 15 minutes later he called my mom and asked her if she or my dad could come over quick. She asked what was wrong and he said he couldn't move and his whole body was tingly and numb. She went right over to our apartment and took him up to her house. She put him in a comfy bed and was taking very good care of him. She had sippy cups with all sorts of drinks. She had a bell for him to ring if he needed anything at all. He felt super cold so he had on sweat pants on, a sweat shirt and 7 blankets. He had a fever of 102 so we called Huntsmans and they said to get him to the emergency room. My mom said he wanted a treat so on the way there he had her stop at Florence's Chocolate!
I hurried from the salon over to the hospital. They did a few tests and found out his white blood cell count was low and he has some kind of infection. Lymphoma patients are able to get infection pretty easy so you have to be careful. He doesn't have much of an immune system.
So they admitted Josh into the hospital and are giving him antibiotics in an IV every 6 hours and other fluids with nutrients in them. He was also low on potassium, so they are giving him that too. As well as a few other meds. He will have to be admitted in the hospital until the infection goes away. So we don't know how long that will be.
So here we are, Joshey Poo and I, Friday night for our date, we are here in the hospital. This is my first time ever sleeping in a hospital. We are watching Emperors New Groove right now! So we still get our date night movie ; )
......Well we made it about 15 minutes through the movie before we turned it off so Josh could try to sleep. He's not feeling well. I hope he can get some rest tonight.
